Into The Void

My Xbox 360 finally took a dump on me yesterday.  It was working fine the night before when I was downloading stuff off the marketplace.  I turned it on the next day to check something and I get 1 red flashing light and an error message on the screen E74.  Guess that code meant something was wrong with the AV cable so I'm switching out cables left and right and no go.  Luckily I had a 2 year replacement plan from Best Buy and went to get it switched out.  This new 360 runs a lot quieter than my old one that had a born on date of 12/09/05.  Thank god I bought that PRP with the system!

I'm off to Vegas tomorrow for some training on upcoming products.  Can't wait to check out some new Xbox 360 titles and possibly get my hands on the Zune.  Last time I was in Vegas, I was puking my heart out.

Just completed moving into a new townhouse which is much larger than the previous.  Man, do I hate moving.  I never imagined we accumulated so much stuff and where the heck did I find the room to put it all in at the old place?  Funny thing about the new place is that I know my neighbors from previously working with them.  Makes for awkward conversation.  Anyway, I'm speediing through online now with FIOS instead of DSL.  Can't beat that!

Today, I mourn the death of a family member.  I knew something wasn't right as I was driving to work today and my left eye was twitching.  Around 11 am, the wife calls me up crying hysterically after she took Brandy, our family dog, to the Vet.  She was going in to get a lump checked over and it was as suspected, a cis.  After further examination, she was diagnosed with cancer in her bladder.  The Vet had to put her asleep and my wife and daughter watched as she passed.  I'm gonna miss you Brandy!

I got a chance to get autographs from Randel El, Heinz Ward, and the one and only Bus, Jerome Bettis.  Waited in line that seemed like forever to get their autographs, but it was well worth it.  I only really got to talk to Heinz Ward as my wife got the autograph from Randel El and they pushed us through fast with the Bus.  All in all, it's been a good week.

Been looking around for a new HDTV to replace my CRT 27" and I'm getting a headache.  Which one is better, what size, and how much to spend?  I settled on a Samsung 42" DLP rear projection, but the wife says to spend the extra $$$ and get the 50".  Now she's all excited and been looking around for stands while I'm thinking...damn, gotta redo the home theater setup and all those wires!  I'm so lazy.
